.Shilton used to be the General Sales Manager of Triumph Motorcycles and advanced to be a Norton director. Shilton is a most interesting character, riding his demonstrator bikes all over Europe and taking part in "The Circuit Des Pyrenees" for ten years, from 1971 to 1980. Just like Bert Hopwood, he was at the center of the storm that blew the British motorcycle industry from the landscape.
